Definition of the quality system in the field of road infrastructure
The methodological guideline concerning the Quality System (QS) in the field of road infrastructure regulates the Ministry of Transport's requirements for ensuring the quality of all components of the process of construction, maintenance, and repair of road infrastructure.
QS-RI is applied in connection with the ISO 9001 standard – Quality Management System. The quality system in road infrastructure is a superstructure of the ISO 9001 standard.
Who is the quality management system in the field of road infrastructure intended for?
The quality system in the field of road infrastructure (QS-RI) is designed primarily for road infrastructure management authorities and organizations involved in the construction, repair, and maintenance of road infrastructure – including design, diagnostics, laboratory activities, and testing.
QS-RI is mainly applied to constructions and works financed from public budgets, the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure, loans, and resources from EU authorities and organizations.
