Definition of the quality management system according to Council Regulation (EU) No 333/2011 of 31 March 2011
The EU Regulation sets out more detailed criteria defining when iron, steel and aluminium scrap, including scrap from aluminium alloys, ceases to be waste. The criteria ensure that iron, steel and aluminium scrap obtained through a waste recovery process meets the technical requirements of the metallurgical industry, complies with applicable legal regulations and product standards, and does not have overall adverse effects on the environment and human health.
In order for metal scrap to be removed from the scope of the Waste Act, the producer/importer must meet the following conditions:

The system is intended for all producers/importers of iron, steel and aluminium scrap.
